Underdog Pick: Querrey
First round matches to watch:
Haas vs. Querrey: I picked Querrey as my underdog pick here, but Haas is 3-0 lifetime against him. That being said, all were in ’07 when Querrey was 20 years old. Now Haas is now 31… So I think the tables will have turned.
Blake vs. Hewitt: Blake is the 3 seed, but has more swings in his level of tennis than a bipolar monkey. Hewitt on the other hand is solid pretty much always. Blake had a pretty decent week last week so who knows, but I certainly wouldn’t be shocked to watch Hewitt walk away with this one.
Going to be some great tennis as usual here in the second and third rounds… However this is another tournament where I have to say Roddick is a pretty clear favorite. Extremely disappointing loss for him last week to Stepanek, I’m guessing he bounces back and gets it done here.
