When Roger Federer was slated to play Julien Benneteau in the third round of Wimbledon, few expected that the journeyman Frenchman would push the Swiss maestro to the brink coming within 2 points of the upset.  After all, Federer rarely loses to players his age.  So when Benneteau was slated to meet Federer after his win over Mikhail Youzhny, some speculated he would have a tough time again.  Except, Roger didn’t.  This was a quick 62 62 dismissal.

Because of the rain from Monday, a huge number of matches were played today to catch up.  In addition, the regularly scheduled second round matches were also played.
