Of the top four, Nadal has looked the most solid. In three matches, he has not dropped a set, and most of the wins have been comfortable. Dolgopolov was expected to be a tough guy to play. With his change of pace and big forehand, Dolgopolov troubles many opponents. But he produced too many errors to bother Nadal. Despite being up 15-40 with a chance to break, Dolgopolov went to lose the next several points and Nadal secured the match 63 62.

Isner beat qualifier Ebden in straight sets. Djokovic had two easy sets but lost the middle set in a tiebreak against Andujar. Last night, Federer struggled to a 3 set win over Raonic. Federer returned serve like he does against big serves–close up to the baseline. Once Federer got his first break in the second set, Raonic’s serving started to decline. Federer needed 3 tough sets to win.
Federer plays again today, this time against Thomaz Bellucci who had a walkover over Nikolay Davydenko.
