Maria Kirilenko, a cutie pie from Russia, lost her Quarterfinal match in the 2008 WTA Banka Koper Slovenia Open held in Portoroz, Slovenia July 21-27. She lost to 8th seed Sara Errani of Italy 1-6, 5-7.
Maria was the 1st seed in this tournament. I’m sure it is a disappointing loss for her. A player always want to show their seeding was justified. Maybe next time, Maria!
