Danish cutie pie, Caroline Wozniacki, was the 3rd seed in the 2008 WTA Gastein Ladies Tennis Tournament being held in Bad Gastein, Austria July 14-20.
In her first round, Caroline defeated 112th ranked Su-Wei Hsieh of Chinese Taipei 6-1, 6-1. The 2nd round proved to be tougher for her as she lost a close 3-setter to 60th ranked Mariya Koryttseva of the Ukraine 4-6, 6-4, 6-7(5-7). That was a very close match, and could easily have gone the other way. Next time, Caroline!
