This image tells the story. It was a disappointing loss for Russian cutie pie, Elena Dementieva, in the semifinal of Wimbledon against Venus Williams.
Elena started slowly, losing the 1st set 1-6. But she gave it her all, taking the 2nd set to a tie-break. She lost the tie-break 3-7. So it was over in two sets. But this was her best showing in ten years. She made the quarterfinals in 06, and lost in the third round in 07. So she should not feel too bad.
It is always disappointing to lose. But Elena, we are proud of you. Keep at it. You’ll get there yet.
