Alright, to make a bit of a bad pun here… I have never seen Davydenko as the player to bet on. He’s solid as a rock, fit, smart… but just doesn’t win. Obviously he has results to keep his ranking up, but it seems like every time he has the draw to go deep he lets me down.
Ferrer…. come on man. Youzhny is solid, and I didn’t see the match so I have very little ground to comment, however it’s a very disappointing result. I guess people are getting used to his backboard style?
My favorite result of the tournament so far is clearly Ancic over Simon. I have no problems with Simon but you have to love Ancic, fights hard and is one of the smartest guys on the tour on and off the court. If your in to watching tennis for more than the basics of the sport he’s an awesome guy to have on the tv… so keep rollin Ancic! I’d love to see him knock off Murray in the Semi’s!
