Former World No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark was ousted from the 2013 French Open in round two by unseeded Bojana Jovanovski of Serbia by a score of 7-6(2), 6-3.
The 47th-ranked Jovanovski hit 33 winners to only 13 for the 10th-seeded Wozniacki. She will now face former French Open champion Svetlana Kuznetsova of Russia.
Wozniacki and Jovanovski met just a couple of weeks ago in the first round of the Internazionali BNL d’Italia. Jovanovski took the win in three sets, 2-6, 6-4, 7-6(5).
Entering the French Open, Wozniacki had a 2013 singles record of just 16-12, with her last WTA title coming in October. These results are just part of a diminishing trend.
